Mining & Quarrying
Brunton Shaw manufactures and supplies a complete range of ropes suitable for both underground and surface applications.

For quarrying and opencast mining, Brunton Shaw manufactures a variety of ropes for use on drop-ball, dragline, and face-shovel applications. Included in the range are "PIR" plastic-impregnated ropes, specially developed to combat the arduous conditions encountered in these applications and now accepted for use wordlwide in the opencast sector.

For deep mining, both round strand and triangular strand ropes are available, for mineral and manriding haulage systems, together with a wide choice of coal-cutter and general purpose ropes; included in the range are special plastic-coated cables, colour-coded, for signalling purposes.

More specialised ropes for shaft-winding purposes, guide ropes, balance ropes, etc., in half-lock or full-lock configurations are also available.
